Job summary

A global construction consultancy is seeking an experienced Lead Quantity Surveyor in Barrow-in-Furness. This role involves leading the commercial delivery of engineering contracts within the nuclear defence sector, ensuring contracts are delivered on time and cost. The ideal candidate will have significant Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in nuclear or civil engineering, along with relevant educational qualifications and a passion for mentoring team members. Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally in Nuclear or Civil engineering.
  • Advanced experience of standard forms of contract, especially NEC suite.
  • Significant on-the-job experience in engineering may be accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial delivery of major engineering contracts.
  • Manage commercial and contractual aspects collaboratively.
  • Oversee site surveys for quantity validation.
  • Validate contractor estimates and oversee supply chain performance.
  • Mentor junior team members.
