Job summary

PREAH Building Services seeks a Quantity Surveyor to oversee the financial management of Mechanical and Electrical projects. The role entails preparing cost estimates, monitoring budgets, and ensuring contract compliance. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to maintain financial records and support decision-making.

Successful candidates will possess a degree in Quantity Surveying, have experience in building services, and demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills. The position is office-based in Motherwell, Scotland.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience within Building Services (Mechanical & Electrical) preferred.
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT, NEC).
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and implement corrective actions.
• Administer contracts in accordance with standard forms.
• Produce regular financial reports and cash flow forecasts.

Education
