The successful candidate will oversee building services packages from construction to final account. The role offers a rate of £350–£450/day, with an immediate start. Responsibilities include cost planning, risk management, and subcontractor negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment of applications, variations, and compensation events
  • Preparation and maintenance of cost plans, forecasts, and cashflow
  • Risk and value management in collaboration with design and delivery teams
  • Subcontractor negotiation, measurement, and contract administration
  • Support with month-end reporting and commercial governance

Skills

Proven experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor on large-scale build projects
Background with Tier 1 main contractors or major MEP subcontractors
Confident managing high-value services packages
Commercially astute with strong site-based collaboration skills
Solid working knowledge of JCT contracts

Freelance MEP QuantitySurveyor

We’re working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor on a landmark Central London development and are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to oversee building services packages through construction to final account. This freelance role sits within a well-established commercial team, collaborating closely with technical services and delivery to ensure full cost control, accurate forecasting, and robust reporting across high-value MEP packages.

Key Responsibilities
