Job summary

VolkerHighways is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Luton team on a permanent contract. The role focuses on the commercial performance of projects, managing the supply chain, and maintaining relationships with clients and councils.

You will forecast costs, monitor cash flow, and maintain records of site activity, variations and valuations, while leading procurement and subcontract management with NEC contract awareness.

Qualifications

• Highways or civil engineering quantity surveying experience.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and term maintenance work.
• Forecasts, cost/value reconciliations, cash flow and record keeping on site.

Responsibilities

• Reporting accruals, liabilities and revenue.
• Administering the main contract and processing client requests.
• Procurement: agree schedules with project manager and prepare subcontract documentation.
• Measurement, subcontract instructions, variations and settlement of accounts.
• Observe contractual notice requirements and obtain authorisation before additional work starts.
