Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a reputable main contractor in Maidstone. This role involves overseeing multiple projects, managing contracts and procurement, and providing financial insights. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a main contracting environment, a degree in Quantity Surveying, and strong communication skills. A salary of £80,000 plus car allowance and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment.
  • Strong contractual and financial acumen with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator and negotiator with a proactive, team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Full commercial management of multiple projects from tender through to final account.
  • Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Preparation of valuations, cost reports, and project forecasts.
  • Administering contracts in line with company procedures (JCT / NEC).
  • Providing accurate financial insight and reporting to senior management.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.
