Job summary

Recruit4staff are representing a leading international construction and infrastructure business in their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work in Seascale.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will take commercial responsibility for the financial performance of major civil engineering and infrastructure works. You will oversee cost management, NEC contract administration, change control and commercial reporting to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Essential: Senior Quantity Surveyor experience on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Essential: Strong NEC Contract Administration experience
• Essential: Budget Management and cost control
• Essential: Commercial exposure to engineering, planning, project controls, procurement and client teams
• Essential: Experience mentoring junior quantity surveying or commercial personnel
• Desirable: MRICS/AssocRICS/FRICS
• Desirable: Nuclear sector or safety-critical environment experience

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for the financial performance of major civil engineering and infrastructure works
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, planners and procurement to ensure forecasts and valuations are accurate
• Manage NEC contract administration, change control and commercial reporting
• Oversee cost management, payment applications and cost-value reconciliations
• Identify and control commercial risks and provide leadership across multiple work packages
