Senior Quantity Surveyor – High-End Residential Developer

Location: Evesham

Salary: Up to £65,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Package

Walker & Sloan are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a high-quality, privately owned residential developer based in Evesham. With a strong reputation for delivering bespoke housing developments across the region, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

The Opportunity:

This role will sit between an existing Managing Surveyor and Intermediate Surveyor—both of whom we placed—within a well-established and close-knit commercial function. The business typically operates 6–8 live sites at any given time, with developments ranging from 10 to 30 units, and each site benefiting from individually designed house types, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and a tailored approach to quality housing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial management of residential developments from land acquisition through to final account
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
• Budgeting, cost planning, and value engineering
• Site valuations and cost reporting
• Supporting the Managing Surveyor and mentoring junior team members
• Liaising with site managers and directors to ensure commercial performance

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a residential developer or housebuilding contractor
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
• A stable career history
• A collaborative approach and ability to work as part of a small but experienced team
