Qualifications

Overview

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Wisbech

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum

Company & Project: Our client, a well-known family run social housing contractor is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To undertake all Quantity Surveying duties on your contracts.
• To direct and control all financial and legal aspects of your construction contract ensuring that it is profitable.
• To be aware of the company\'s business plan and its aims
• To establish, maintain, and enhance effective working relationships with the client and all members of the client\'s team.
• Prepare any loss and expense claims arising out of the extension of time claims.
• Ensure all subcontractors are on our approved list
• Working with the contract team to manage the design on a design and build contract with a view of ensuring that changes are made for the financial benefit of the company.
• Working with the team to ensure that the request for information schedule includes financial or legal elements
• To establish a procurement strategy, with a procurement schedule in line with the time requirements of the operational and design deliverables for the project.

Desirable Experience

• A very high level of commercial awareness of the industry
• A good knowledge of building law, the law of contract and statutory requirements
• An understanding of financial management
• Must have a minimum of 2 years\' experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
