A UK-based recruitment firm seeks a Site Agent to oversee earthworks and civil engineering projects in West Yorkshire. The Site Agent will lead the delivery of earthworks, remediation, and civil engineering projects across the region. The role involves managing site teams, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring technical accuracy, and maintaining strong standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure progress in line with programme goals.
Lead site teams and subcontractors, providing clear direction and support.
Coordinate materials, plant, logistics, and sequencing to maintain project efficiency.
Ensure all works follow design information, specifications, and industry standards.
Promote a strong safety culture across all site activities.
Implement RAMS, safe systems of work, and environmental controls.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
Monitor and maintain compliance with environmental and remediation protocols where applicable.
Maintain high levels of workmanship and adherence to project quality requirements.
Review and approve ITPs, method statements, and technical submissions.
Work closely with engineers to resolve design queries and technical challenges.
Oversee testing, sampling, and record-keeping, particularly for remediation-related activities.
Track progress against programme targets and contribute to project reporting.
Identify risks, delays, and opportunities, communicating them to the project team.
Support commercial teams with variations, early warnings, and cost control.
Maintain accurate site records, diaries, and progress documentation.
Engage effectively with clients, consultants, regulators, and local authorities.
Attend progress meetings, site inspections, and handover activities.
Manage public and community interfaces when works affect surrounding areas.
Proven experience as a Site Agent or Senior Site Manager in civil engineering or remediation.
Strong technical background in earthworks, brownfield remediation, drainage, or infrastructure.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational capabilities.
Understanding of NEC or similar contract forms.
CSCS Manager card essential; SMSTS and First Aid required; Temporary Works experience advantageous
