Senior Quantity Surveyor / Project QS – Working Across Station Packages

A Tier 2 Contractor are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) or Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to manage the commercial delivery of key infrastructure packages for a major station project. This role requires multi-disciplinary expertise to handle complex mechanical, civil, and structural elements simultaneously.

Location & Contract

Location: Hybrid working between Euston Station (Site/Project Office) and Apsley, Hertfordshire.

Contract: Freelance (Inside IR35 assumed). Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Limited, Negotiable).

Work Pattern: Hybrid (3 days office/site, 2 days remote).

Commercial Management
  • Core Package Management & Control: Structures & Civils, Structural Steelwork, Lifts & Escalators (L&E), M&E Systems.
  • Financial & Contractual Governance: Cash Flow & Valuations, Change Control & Risk, Final Accounts, Procurement.
Essential Experience & Environment
  • Sector Focus: Proven experience (3+ years for QS, 5+ years for SQS) managing multiple, integrated packages within a rail, station, or complex infrastructure environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Must have experience managing packages that include a blend of MEP/M&E, Steelwork, and Civils‑not just one discipline.
  • Contract Mastery: Expert working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4) is mandatory.
  • Hybrid Working: Must be comfortable traveling between the project sites.
