Qualifications

  • Previous quantity surveying experience within the construction industry.
  • NHF SOR experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Permanent - Full Time

Location: Cardiff

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing Wales region, based at our Cardiff office. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day financial management, cost control and reporting for one or more of our developments.

This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career. You will be involved in every stage of each project and will work closely with internal teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting project delivery to ensure target margins are achieved
  • Ensuring all contractual processes are followed and necessary notices issued
  • Preparing and negotiating interim valuations and final accounts, including all required measurement
  • Managing the variation account
  • Carrying out site visits to monitor subcontractor activity and valuing completed works
  • Building strong working relationships with customers, consultants, subcontractors and colleagues across the Regeneration division
About You
  • We're looking for a proactive, talented and ambitious individual with:
  • A formal qualification in a relevant subject (desired)
  • Previous quantity surveying experience within the construction industry
  • NHF SOR experience (advantageous)
  • Strong decision‑making and communication skills
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy and IT skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to thrive within a team environment
