Job summary

The Clancy Group in the UK is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Thames Water Framework, delivering commercial excellence across projects.

You will manage subcontractors, support the Commercial Manager, review contracts, and produce CVRs, ensuring accurate measurements and cost control while traveling between sites in London and the Thames Valley.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of NEC ECC contracts (Options 3 and 4) and experience on NEC-based schemes.
• Strong analytical capability to base decisions on data and practical experience.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication to influence stakeholders at all levels and develop juniors.

We would love to hear from you if…

You have excellent contract awareness and in-depth knowledge of NEC ECC contracts (Options 3 and 4), with extensive experience delivering NEC-based schemes along with advanced commercial awareness, capable of analysing complex issues and providing practical, outcome-focused solutions.

You’ll have a strong analytical capability, with demonstrable experience in making sound commercial decisions informed by both practical experience and data intelligence. You will possess excellent attention to detail alongside the ability to prioritise workloads effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills are essential, enabling you to influence, inspire, and clearly convey key commercial messages to stakeholders at all levels. Experience managing subcontractors and supporting the development of junior colleagues toward high performance is highly desirable.

A relevant degree or significant experience in a similar role is essential.

You will also need a full UK manual driving licence, as the role involves regular travel between sites across London and the Thames Valley.
