Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £48K + Benefits

Location: North of England

A HNC Qualified (or equivalent) Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to work for one of the largest and fastest growing main contractors in the UK. The successful candidate will work on projects onwards of £15million and have the opportunity to progress up to Commercial Manager status.

The role of Quantity Surveyor will be to plan, implement and deliver projects according to programme, budget and quality. The Quantity Surveyor is expected to maintain the company’s standard of work in all duties.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Better buying of all essential materials
  • Procurement and placing of all subcontract orders
  • Subcontractor account management
  • Preparation of all applications
  • Compiling of all variations

Key duties will also include:

  1. Reviewing all contract documents for potential risk and exposure
  2. Ensuring all projects are 100% cost certain prior to commencement on site
  3. Providing internal variation summary reports to the Surveying Manager
  4. Providing a monthly subcontractor certification schedule to the Surveying Manager
  5. Working with and maintaining the existing company surveying processes
