Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Nuclear & Defence. Rate: Dependent on experience | IR35: TBC (preferably inside). 3 days Manchester / 2 days North Wales

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on a major UK nuclear decommissioning project - a pioneering scheme transforming complex infrastructure and creating long-term environmental benefit.

What you'll do
  • Manage all commercial activities across the project lifecycle
  • Prepare valuations, applications for payment and cost reports
  • Lead risk, cost control and change management
  • Oversee procurement, tendering, and supply chain contracts
  • Provide expert contractual and commercial advice
What you'll bring
  • Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in construction
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of construction contracts
  • Skilled negotiator with excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Degree in a RICS / CICES-accredited discipline (Chartered preferred)
  • Able to work 3 days in Manchester and 2 days in North Wales
