Job summary

A Regional Civil Engineering Contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Newmarket to manage projects. Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you'll oversee subcontract orders, manage various packages, and ensure accurate cost reporting and final accounts. Must have a minimum of 5 years in civil engineering contracting and experience with NEC & JCT contracts. Competitive rates of up to £500 per day offered.

Job description

My client is a Regional Civil Engineering Contractor based in Cambridgeshire. Due to continued growth, the Commercial Lead is looking to bolster his team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor who can commercially manage individual projects simultaneously. This is a long-term role paying up to £500 per day (OUTSIDE IR35).

Typical duties:

• Placing Sub-Contract Orders
• Managing the various Packages
• Cost Reporting
• Final Accounts

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Civil Engineering Contracting background (5 year min.)
• Earthworks experience
• NEC & JCT Contract Experience
