Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Rail/Building - Solihull - up to £72k + Package

Are you looking for an opportunity to oversee a couple of long term frameworks within the rail environment? This role provides the perfect route to entry for someone wanting to get into the rail sector as this is effectively building and M&E reactive maintenance projects. Schemes could consist of any repairs or maintenance works to offices, stations and depots utilising an NEC4 Bespoke Facilities Management Contract.

Due to retirement, a position is becoming available for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee a team of 4 commercial staff and 3 frameworks with a combined turnover of £6m/£7m.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 4 commercial staff and 3 frameworks with a combined turnover of £6m/£7m.
• Ensure application deadlines are met and review subcontract orders.
• Focus on reducing work in progress and maintain effective communication with the client.
• Manage the commercial team and support them through peaks and troughs of workload.
• Work within an NEC4 Bespoke Facilities Management Contract framework for rail-related buildings and M&E maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or equivalent with a track record in rail/building projects.
• Experience in managing a commercial team and multiple frameworks.
• Familiarity with NEC4 Bespoke Facilities Management contracts.
• Ability to operate in a hybrid office environment and coordinate long-term local workloads.
