Overview

NRL’s client is on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on a £10M new car park construction at Manchester Airport, ensuring costs and contracts are managed efficiently. The project involves earthworks, drainage, and subcontractor-led civil engineering works.

This role requires strong commercial control to deliver on budget, mitigate risks, and support project leadership. You will also be client facing so must have experience on the client side and be able to deal with challenges. You will also manage junior members of staff.

What you will need
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (Option A)
  • Expertise in budget management, forecasting, cost reporting, and subcontractor account management
  • Experience in procurement, value engineering, and risk management
