Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Maidstone, England. You will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring effective contractual control and cost management. The ideal candidate should have a HNC/HND in Surveying, strong communication skills, and experience with Regional or National contractors. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as the SQS with a Regional / National contractor.
• A good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations.
• A good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Healthcare and Refurbishment project experience (desired).

Responsibilities

• Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction to project delivery.
• Working alongside the project delivery team to ensure contractual control and cost management.
• Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to final account agreement.
• Involved with final account negotiation to ensure best possible outcome.

Your day to day will look like:

• Exposure to the full project lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
• Working alongside the project delivery team, to ensure the contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors
• Managing the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement
• Being involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome
