Job summary

Navartis Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a major civil infrastructure project in Suffolk. You will oversee commercial and contractual management, cost control, forecasting, and procurement.

You will lead subcontractor management, valuations and final accounts, provide guidance to the wider team, and mentor junior surveyors. The role offers a competitive salary (up to £70,000) and car allowance plus extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting or civil engineering environment.
• Strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects.
• Good understanding of contracts, procurement, cost management and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the commercial management of the project, including cost control, forecasting, CVRs, valuations and cash flow.
• Manage subcontract procurement, contract administration, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project budgets, commercial performance and contractual compliance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with clients, subcontractors and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Provide commercial guidance and support to the wider team, including mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors.

An established and highly regarded civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team, working on a major infrastructure project in Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take on greater responsibility within a well-established business delivering complex and high-value civil engineering projects.

You will be responsible for overseeing the commercial and contractual management of the project, including cost control, forecasting, procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, variations and final accounts. Working closely with the wider project team, you will play a key role in ensuring successful project delivery while supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Good understanding of construction contracts, procurement, cost management and subcontractor management.
• Strong commercial awareness, communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to take ownership of projects.
• Degree or HND qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.
