Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Staffordshire (WS15 2BB) in and around the area with regional travel as required.

Salary: Up to 68k

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent basis, working on projects across Staffordshire and the surrounding region. You will play a vital role in the commercial success of our projects by providing accurate cost and value reporting, procurement management, and commercial support from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
  2. Undertake valuations and agree interim payments with clients
  3. Evaluate subcontractor quotations and manage procurement processes
  4. Prepare final accounts and ensure timely project close-out
  5. Support the site teams and project managers with cost-related guidance
  6. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities

Requirements

  1. Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  2. Proven experience in a QS role, ideally within the civil engineering, infrastructure or structural maintenance sectors
  3. Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contract administration
  4. Excellent numerical, communication, and negotiation skills
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard QS software
  6. Full UK driving licence (essential, due to site travel)
