Options Resourcing is working with one of the UK's most diverse construction companies to find a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor for a prestigious project in Exeter. Experience in student accommodation or high-rise residential projects is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

1. Manage all cost management aspects of the project from inception to completion.
2. Prepare, analyze, and review cost estimates, budgets, and tender/pre-construction documentation.
3. Conduct risk assessments and provide strategic advice to minimize project risks.
4. Negotiate contracts, manage procurement processes, and oversee supplier and subcontractor agreements.
5. Monitor project progress, prepare valuations, and handle interim and final accounts.
6. Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional development.
7. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients for seamless project execution.
8. Maintain knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional membership with RICS or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control processes, and procurement strategies.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools.
