MAG (Airports Group) is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Project integrated Capital Delivery team at Stansted Airport. You will oversee procurement and contract management for a diverse programme of Building, Civils, Runways and Taxiways projects, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.
Working in a hybrid role, you will develop main and sub-contracting strategies, applying NEC 4 forms and collaborating with stakeholders.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be part of a Project integrated Capital Delivery team responsible for the Procurement and contract management of construction related project activities to safely deliver our capital programme within budget and within schedule. The capital programme projects vary from Building and Civils works to our critical infrastructure projects on the Runways and Taxiways.
We adopt a category management approach to drive standardisation against a total cost of ownership model and you will develop and implement sub-category strategies that are aligned with business needs. All roles require the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and driven professional, with a strong background in the construction industry and a proven track record of working in environments where Health, Safety, and Environment are a top priority.
The ideal candidate will have significant, demonstrable experience in procurement / commercial experience in a post-contract managed environment, with a deep understanding of NEC 4 forms of contract. They will bring a successful history of developing main and sub-contracting strategies, working with diverse stakeholder groups, and influencing decisions through in-depth knowledge of the construction market.
A solid grasp of EU procurement methodologies and the Procurement Act 2023 is desirable but not essential. A degree qualification and RICS or MCIPS accreditation (or working towards it) are highly desirable.
