Job summary

Aureos in Bathgate seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team. The role focuses on delivering robust commercial results, project reporting, cash management and cost control across schemes, reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager.

Core duties include managing applications and credit control, optimising income, costing and forecasting, and guiding sub-contract life cycles with proactive risk management and CVRs/CTCs.

Qualifications

  • NEC experience is essential.
  • Degree or HND/HNC equivalent required.
  • Substantial experience in a contracting commercial department.
  • Experience on multi-disciplined HV/LV infrastructure projects desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in management of application and credit control processes.
  • Support optimisation of income and accurate costing/forecasting.
  • Maintain change control system and project risk inputs.
  • Provide commercial advice to Project Team and manage sub-contract cycles.
  • Liaise with Regional Commercial Manager to report on profitability and cash flow.
  • Support tendering, contract review and performance against KPI targets.

Risk registers frequently reviewed and updated* Successful well managed sub-contract life spans with few or no disputes and payments made on time* A commercially well informed, qualified and professional Project Commercial Team with few quickly resolved project disputes* Up to date records/reports/libraries of standard documents* Significant contribution to the tendering, and contract review processes **Skills, qualifications and experience:**Essential: Degree educated or HND/HNC equivalent.Essential : NEC ExperienceEssential: Substantial experience working in contracting commercial department.
