Job description

Senior Quality Systems Manager - GCP QMS implementation
Location:

Liverpool, hybrid / remote structure, required to travel to the office a minimum of 2 days a month due to the requirements of the role and level of change that needs to be implemented across the team

Looking for a role where you can take ownership, make a real impact and see your work translate into meaningful change?

This is an opportunity to join a smaller, with a strong reputation in the clinical space, where you’ll have the freedom to shape its GCP quality framework, lead the implementation of new processes and influence how the business operates.

What's in it for you?
  • Take ownership of the GCP Quality Management System (QMS), shaping the company's approach to quality and compliance, rather than simply maintaining existing processes.
  • Lead the implementation of an eQMS and establish the processes, systems and standards needed to strengthen GCP compliance across the business.
  • Drive change across teams, secure buy-in and embed new ways of working. You'll need to be comfortable holding your own, challenging where necessary and bringing people with you.

Reporting directly to the COO, you’ll have genuine visibility, the ability to challenge existing ways of working and the opportunity to build something that can support your long-term progression.

What you'll be responsible for:
  • Leading the development and implementation of the GCP QMS, ensuring processes are fit for purpose and embedded across the business.
  • Implementing the eQMS and driving improvements across document control, training, CAPAs and audit management.
  • Strengthening audit readiness, conducting internal audits and ensuring the business can confidently demonstrate GCP compliance.
  • Managing evolving GCP requirements and translating them into practical processes that work for the business.
What we're looking for:
  • You'll have experience working within a clinical GCP environment and a strong understanding of quality systems, ideally with experience implementing or improving a QMS or eQMS.
  • You'll need to be hands‑on, pragmatic and capable of turning quality requirements into processes people can actually follow.
Location and flexibility:

The business is based in Liverpool, with an expectation of attending the office once or twice a month to build relationships and support company-wide change.

There is flexibility to discuss alternative arrangements, particularly for someone whose experience and skill set align closely with the opportunity.
