About the role

As Senior Quality Officer, working within the Academic Quality Unit, you will work collaboratively as a Business Partner with academic schools, with a particular focus on supporting apprenticeship provision and ensuring compliance with Ofsted, EQA, and EPA requirements. You will provide expert, accessible support and guidance on all aspects of quality assurance, including the development, approval, and review of apprenticeship programmes.

This role involves managing and developing procedures and regulations related to academic quality and standards, and supporting the University’s preparation for external reviews and inspections, including those by Ofsted and other regulatory bodies such as DWP and OfS. You will play a key role in ensuring that apprenticeship provision meets both institutional and external regulatory frameworks, and in embedding best practice across all quality assurance activities.

About you

We welcome applications from individuals who have substantial administration experience in higher education along with experience of quality assurance and regulatory procedures, course approval and review activity.

You will possess excellent communication and IT skills, and a proven ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels and with external partners.

An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experiential learning is required for this role.
