A precision engineering business with a focus on small batches, exotic materials and a desire to be the best, is looking for a Senior Quality Inspector. The business has grown from £1 M sales in 2020 to £3 M this year. This growth has been facilitated by significant investment in machines, people and the business infrastructure. This growth is now set to accelerate as they have secured a number of new motorsport customers, and now have a need for a senior inspector to join the team.
As a small team of 30, the person needs to be a strong team player willing to support the business wherever they are needed. Helping production when the impossible deadlines are asked for, going above and beyond to enable the business to grow.
This is a new role for the business and as a result the person will have some freedom to create systems and processes themselves. The business is ISO 9001 certified and has high quality standards but is always looking to learn and improve.
The successful candidate will probably have some engineering experience, be very comfortable using IT systems, portals, and communicating with customers on a regular basis. ISO 9001 or TS16949 experience is a must.
