Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a skilled Chief Inspector to lead the inspection function across Gloucester and Swindon sites. This hands-on role requires CMM programming with PC-DMIS, GD&T interpretation, and strong metrology knowledge in aerospace/manufacturing environments.

You will own inspection standards, review drawings, support audits, and drive continuous improvement while traveling to Swindon twice weekly.

Qualifications

• Senior inspection/quality role experience
• Strong CMM programming and operation
• Good reading of engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience with CAD models and inspection data extraction
• Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection activities across multiple sites
• Own inspection standards, methods, procedures, and plans
• Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of composite and metallic parts
• Approve FAIRs and manage conformity documentation
• Support calibration, MRB, root cause investigations and audits
