Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Redditch is seeking a Quality Manager to own product quality across a precision engineering operation in a regulated aerospace environment.

You’ll lead product quality activities, manage NCRs/CAPA, drive continuous improvement, and ensure AS9100 compliance while directing internal audits and supplier quality issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, precision engineering, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to manage NCRs, CAPA and customer quality issues.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 and quality management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with leadership capability to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all product quality activities across manufacturing.
• Manage customer quality concerns and drive effective corrective actions.
• Reduce scrap, rework, and non-conformance levels across production.
• Conduct root cause investigations using structured problem-solving techniques.
• Support inspection and manufacturing teams to improve right-first-time performance.
• Manage internal and external quality issues with customers and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and aerospace quality standards.
• Lead internal audits and support external customer audits.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality and process capability.

Job description

A leading aerospace manufacturing business in Redditch is seeking a Quality Manager to take ownership of product quality across its precision engineering operation. This position is ideally suited to either an experienced Quality Manager or a Senior Quality Engineer looking to progress into a management role within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 p.a.

The Role Reporting into senior management, responsibilities will include:

• Leading all product quality activities across manufacturing
• Managing customer quality concerns and driving effective corrective actions
• Reducing scrap, rework, and non-conformance levels across production
• Conducting root cause investigations using structured problem-solving techniques
• Supporting inspection and manufacturing teams to improve right-first-time performance
• Managing internal and external quality issues with customers and suppliers

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience within aerospace, precision engineering, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of product quality within a manufacturing setting
• Experience managing NCRs, CAPA, and customer quality issues
• Knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• The ability to lead quality improvements across production operations
• Previous leadership experience or the ambition to step into a management role
