Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for an aerospace manufacturer in the United Kingdom. The role centers on hands-on quality leadership and close collaboration with customers, shop floor teams and management to drive improvements.

This permanent on-site position offers regular hours Mon-Thu 08:00-16:45 and Fri 08:00-12:30, with an ASAP start. The successful candidate will own QA processes, support NADCAP/AS9100 compliance, and lead CI projects.

Qualifications

• Experience within an aerospace/highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with practical problem-solving and continuous improvement tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Kaizen and root cause analysis.
• Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI).

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams on quality-related issues, ensuring effective resolution and strong communication.
• Maintain quality control throughout the manufacturing process, supporting a Right First Time approach and ensuring customer requirements are met.
• Lead and support root cause analysis, non-conformance, RCCA, CAPA and continuous improvement activities to reduce recurring quality issues.
• Support the Quality Management System, including internal audits and external audits such as NADCAP, while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Work closely with production and cross-functional teams on NPI, quality improvement projects and the implementation of effective quality processes.
