Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Senior Quality Delivery Engineer to lead quality arrangements on major projects in Glasgow and beyond. You will support the Quality Manager, drive right‑first‑time delivery, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 across internal and external work packages.

Based in Glasgow with client and joint venture offices, the role offers flexible working and requires UK security clearance. Travel to Glasgow is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries with ISO 9001.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and audits.
• Experience across the full manufacturing lifecycle and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implementing and managing project quality arrangements across complex engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Advising project teams on quality management requirements, risks, issues, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Developing relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure quality expectations are achieved.
• Conducting and supporting internal and supplier audits while monitoring compliance with ISO 9001 and project requirements.
• Supporting the management and resolution of quality non-conformances, supplier quality activities, and project quality documentation.

The role

As a Senior Quality Delivery Engineer, you'll play a vital role in managing project quality arrangements across both internal and external activities. Supporting the Quality Manager, you'll act as a key quality lead on assigned work packages, driving a right-first-time culture and helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

You will work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. This role is based in Glasgow, split between client and joint venture partner offices. Flexible working arrangements are available, and travel to Glasgow will be required as part of the role.

Day-to-day, you’ll

• Implementing and managing project quality arrangements across complex engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Advising project teams on quality management requirements, risks, issues, and continuous improvement opportunities.

Essential experience of Senior Quality Delivery Engineer:

• Experience working within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.
• Strong understanding and practical application of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Experience across the full manufacturing lifecycle.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation, and customer quality requirements.
• Experience implementing quality assurance and quality control arrangements within project environments.

Qualifications for the Senior Quality Delivery Engineer:

• Internal Auditor ISO 9001 qualification.

Security Clearance
