Senior Quality and Compliance Manager Salary: £43,800 - £58,500 Location: Cambridge/Hybrid (minimum of 2 days per week in the office) Contract: Full Time (35 hours per week)/Fixed term (18 months)

We’re looking for a Senior Quality and Compliance Manager for the Cambridge English Exam Services team. This fixed term management role is based in our Cambridge office in the UK. You will be a people manager and team leader, passionate about exam integrity and able to challenge the status quo and drive forward improvements. Your team will be responsible for operational exam security, ensuring that millions of learners receive accurate, fair exam results, and that thousands of exam centres worldwide comply with our high standards for delivering exams. You should understand the threats and challenges relating to exam fraud and be able to put in place mitigations on a global scale.

About the Role
  • Lead a dedicated team responsible for managing test security throughout the exam process. Provide guidance and development opportunities to support their growth in the roles.
  • Review processes and policies to ensure they are robust and suitable for their purpose, and introduce practices designed to address exam fraud in both paper-based and digital formats.
  • Assess and manage risks related to exam integrity and implement response plans and mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the management of major incidents and investigations into exam fraud, ensuring the team has appropriate resources and training for these situations.
  • Seek opportunities to align processes and policies across various products.
About You
Essential Knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Cambridge English products, their delivery modes, and the global centre network, with a clear understanding of both paper-based and digital testing challenges.
  • A strong understanding of test security, including current and emerging threats, and thorough awareness of regulatory requirements for exam boards (e.g., Ofqual general conditions).
  • Good grasp of assessment principles and practical measures required to maintain test and results validity.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience of exam delivery and/or management across diverse cultures.
  • Strong team leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent understanding of data management, reporting, use of Excel, and application of SLAs and KPIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan resources effectively to meet strict targets, with well‑developed process improvement and influencing skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
Desirable
  • Thorough knowledge (or the ability to develop it quickly) of the Cambridge English partner landscape and the challenges of operating globally via exam centres/third parties.
