Job summary

Enable Resourcing Limited is helping our client, a leading specialist contractor, recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the highways and surfacing sector based at Hoo. The role focuses on commercial management across multiple projects, with responsibility for budgets, risk, and final accounts.

You will lead commercial activities, mentor junior staff and support strategic decisions within a stable, office-based team in the Hoo area.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor in highways, surfacing or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and highways frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Take full commercial responsibility for multiple projects and frameworks.
• Prepare budgets, cost plans and CVRs; forecast performance and cash flow.
• Manage variations, compensation events and change control processes.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients, consultants and local authorities.
• Mentor junior staff and provide commercial guidance to project teams.
