A well-established building services contractor with an annual turnover of approximately £18 million is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to support its growing Maintenance Division.

The company is a recognised specialist in BMS, delivering maintenance, repair, and refurbishment solutions across a diverse range of commercial and industrial sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and client satisfaction, the business continues to expand its service offering and long-term maintenance portfolio.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join a progressive organisation with genuine scope for influence and career progression.

The Role
  • Managing all commercial aspects of maintenance contracts, from tendering and cost planning through to final accounts.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating bills of quantities, variations, and contract amendments.
  • Administering contracts in accordance with NEC, JCT, and other standard forms.
  • Providing commercial reporting, forecasting, and risk management directly to the Managing Director.
  • Implementing effective cost control and margin protection strategies.
  • Working collaboratively with operational and project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Leading and mentoring junior commercial staff.
  • Representing the company in client meetings, valuations, and claims.
  • Driving continuous improvement in commercial systems, processes, and governance.
Candidate Profile
  • Significant experience in a commercial role, ideally within maintenance, facilities management, or building services.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple maintenance or framework agreements simultaneously.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, cost forecasting, negotiation, and final account experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in estimating or commercial management software.
