Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly applications for payment.
• Price and agree variations.
• Procure subcontractors.
• Process subcontract payments.
• Forecast revenue and costs monthly.
• Conduct cash collection and debt control.
• Manage final accounts.
• Collaborate with Contracts Manager to meet target margins.
• Engage with clients and construction teams on cost reduction opportunities.
• Conduct regular site visits.
• Attend prestart and progress meetings.
• Report to Commercial Manager and Director.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a well-respected groundworks and civil engineering contractor based in Sheffield to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team delivering Residential Groundworks Projects throughout Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

• Monthly Applications for payment.
• Pricing and agreement of variations.
• Procurement of subcontractors.
• Processing of Subcontract payments.
• Monthly forecasting of revenue & costs.
• Monthly CVR.
• Cash collection & debt control.
• Final accounts.
• Management of projects with Contracts Manager to achieve target margins.
• Liaising with clients & construction team on value engineering or cost reduction opportunities.
• Regular site visits.
• Attending prestart meetings and regular progress meetings.
• Reporting to Commercial Manager and Commercial Director.
• Knowledge of or experience dealing with NEC contracts an advantage.
