Job summary

A leading consultancy in QHSE located in the UK is seeking a Senior QHSE Advisor to support operational teams and manage health and safety policies. The ideal candidate will be NEBOSH qualified with experience in industrial sectors. The position involves advising on QHSE practices, conducting audits, and supporting large-scale projects in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to NEBOSH as a minimum.
  • Experience in the Oil, Gas, Power, industrial sectors preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO Standards and other relevant accreditations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement health & safety, environmental policies and procedures.
  • Advise on accident prevention and SHE policy implementation.
  • Manage internal and external audits and client accreditations.
  • Support the preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Monitor and report QHSE performance and incidents.

Job description
Senior QHSE Advisor - Hybrid

The objective of this role is to deliver results, strive for continuous improvements, have commercial awareness, customer focus and the ability to plan and problem solve by setting standards and leading by example in the management of QHSE.

Successful candidates must be qualified to NEBOSH as a minimum, ideally with, but it is not essential a proven work background / experience in the Oil, Gas, Power, oil refineries / Industrial sectors, and experience / Knowledge of ISO Standards, Achilles, and other accreditations associated with the industry.

Support the operational teams and maintain relationships with the existing clients.

Responsibilities
  • Understand the Company Health & Safety, Environmental Policies and Procedures and statutory requirements affecting the Project operations and ensure that the requirements are effectively implemented.
  • Provide operational and functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents, ill health, environmental incidents, and the practical implementation of the company's SHE policies.
  • Support in providing operational and functional management with advice for obtaining legal consents, licences and exemptions such as discharge consents, abstraction licences and waste management licences.
  • Maintain company management systems and client accreditations, manage internal and external audits.
  • Undertake inspections and audits at clients and WSG facilities.
  • When directed, assist with the preparation of Risks Assessments, Method Statements and Task Briefing Sheets (TBS).
  • Assist with the monitoring and reporting of QHSE Performance, investigation of accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences & near misses.
  • Provide QHSE support to aid with tenders and presentations.
  • Site support of turnarounds & large-scale projects.
  • Actively support QHSE personnel across the business units.
  • Organise and assist in the preparation and implementation of QHSE training courses, as directed.
  • Actively promote the company safety campaigns in addition to the implementation of best practice principles across the business, to include stakeholders such as the supply chain.
