Job summary

Athos Commerce is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own quality assurance within an implementation team. You will collaborate with Development, Product, and QA to ensure coverage across the software delivery lifecycle and mentor peers.

The role blends manual testing with automation, API testing, and release support, working in an Agile environment. Hybrid work flexibility and cloud-based testing are provided.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software testing/QA in Agile environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation and building/maintaining automation frameworks.
• Advanced or strong working knowledge of C#, with experience writing automated tests.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium and xUnit or similar frameworks.
• Experience with API testing using Postman and Newman.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL/MSSQL for data validation and defect investigation.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including Boards, test management, defect tracking and QA documentation.
• Good understanding of Git and version-control practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies.
• Understanding of DOM structure and browser developer tools for web testing.
• Experience with scripting, preferably PowerShell.
• Ability to read and debug application logs and investigate complex technical issues.
• Knowledge of various testing types: functional, regression, integration, system, exploratory, end-to-end.
• Understanding of black-box and white-box testing techniques and test design.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and TDD/shift-left practices.

Responsibilities

• Own QA execution for the implementation team, ensuring comprehensive testing and high-quality releases.
• Design, develop, maintain, and improve UI automation using C#, Selenium, and xUnit.
• Perform API testing using Postman and Newman for reliable integration coverage.
• Conduct manual, functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing across applications and Azure services.
• Participate in sprint planning and various Agile ceremonies to improve testability early in development.
• Investigate defects and production issues using SQL, logs, and dev tools.
• Create and maintain test cases, regression suites, and QA documentation in Azure DevOps.
• Support deployment and release activities with pre/post-release validation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA engineers.
• Identify opportunities to improve QA processes and automation coverage.
