Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our UK Digital & Data team in Manchester, delivering high-quality digital solutions across sectors.

You will shape testing strategies, drive automation, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with developers, product specialists, and stakeholders to champion quality throughout the SDLC, in a hybrid 2-3 day per week setup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with automation frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, or Cucumber.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, functional testing techniques, and defect tracking systems.
• Expertise in writing clean, maintainable code using languages such as Java, JavaScript, or C#.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaborative working style.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping testing strategies, driving automation, and mentoring junior team members. This role is subject to UK Security Vetting at SC (security check) level. Applicants must be willing to undergo the appropriate security clearance process if not already cleared. If you’re successful in your application, we’ll ask you to undergo the relevant vetting process to achieve SC/DV clearance. You can find out more about vetting here.

Any offer of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory completion of the relevant clearance process.

This is a full time, permanent, hybrid (2-3 days/week) role, with occasional business travel across the UK.
