Enso Recruitment is partnering with a globally recognised organisation at the heart of international financial markets in Belfast. We seek an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to drive testing strategy, automation, and best practices from design through delivery.

You will work within a collaborative Agile team to champion quality, build scalable automation, and lead CI/CD efforts, embedding QA early in the development lifecycle. This is a hands-on, influential engineering role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Senior QA Automation Engineer in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestComplete.
• Solid experience designing and maintaining automated frameworks and end-to-end test suites.
• Experienced with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
• Familiar with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and performance testing tools such as JMeter.
• Good understanding of non-functional testing including performance, load, stress, and security testing.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol and trade lifecycle.
• Confident communicator, comfortable working in Agile or SAFe environments.

Responsibilities

• Champion quality across the Agile team, driving a shift-left approach to testing throughout the development lifecycle
• Build, maintain, and improve scalable automation frameworks and end-to-end test suites
• Lead CI/CD pipeline automation efforts, ensuring robust and reliable test coverage at every stage
• Collaborate with global development, BA, and QA teams to plan and execute test strategies effectively
• Drive BDD and TDD practices, working closely with Product Owners and Developers to embed quality early
• Mentor and support team members, promoting best practices around unit testing, code reviews, and acceptance criteria
• Provide clear, actionable reporting on testing progress, risks, and outcomes
• Continuously evaluate and experiment with new tools and methodologies to improve quality processes

You'll be a key voice for quality within a collaborative Agile team, helping to shape testing strategy, drive automation, and embed best practices from the ground up.
