Noir, a London-based FinTech, is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead the automation strategy for a cloud-based platform used across financial institutions.

Senior QA Automation Engineer – FinTech Trading Platform – London / Hybrid

Our client is a market-leading FinTech organisation developing an award-winning front-to-back investment and wealth management platform used by financial institutions across the UK and Europe. As part of a major investment in engineering excellence and AI-driven software delivery, they are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to define the future of quality engineering across a highly scalable, cloud-based platform that processes mission-critical financial transactions every day.

This is a rare opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with genuine technical leadership. As the technical owner of the automation framework, you will design and evolve the automation architecture, build scalable testing solutions in C# and .NET 10, and drive the adoption of AI-assisted testing practices across the engineering function. Working closely with Software Engineers, Architects, DevOps and Product teams, you will embed automation throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring rapid, reliable feedback through modern CI/CD pipelines whilst continuously improving release quality and engineering efficiency.

You will lead the development of sophisticated automation frameworks using Reqnroll (or SpecFlow), NUnit, Azure DevOps Release Pipelines and SQL Server, delivering comprehensive regression, smoke and API test coverage across a modern microservices estate built on ASP.NET Core. Alongside mentoring Automation Engineers and establishing engineering best practices, you will evaluate emerging AI technologies, prototype innovative automation approaches and champion an automation-first culture that supports faster, higher-quality software delivery.

Experience with BDD, REST APIs, distributed systems and shift-left testing will be highly beneficial.

Successful Senior QA Automation Engineer candidates will have proven experience building enterprise-scale automation frameworks, excellent C#/.NET development skills and a passion for using AI to transform software testing. Experience within FinTech, investment management, wealth management or other regulated financial services environments would be advantageous, although candidates with strong technical leadership experience from other enterprise software businesses are equally encouraged to apply.
