Job summary

Smartedge Solutions Ltd. is seeking a backend developer with strong REST API experience using Flask or FastAPI, including authentication, error handling, and documentation.

The role requires HTML/CSS templating with Jinja2 for lightweight interfaces and solid SQL/NoSQL database knowledge. You will work in a Linux environment, manage Docker containers, and engage with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Experience building REST APIs with Flask or FastAPI and implementing authentication.
• Experience with HTML/CSS and Jinja2 templating for lightweight UIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis); schema design and optimization.
• Proficiency with Linux environments, Bash scripting, cron jobs, and server administration.
• Experience deploying applications with Docker and Docker Compose.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and Git.

Strong proficiency in building REST APIs using Flask or FastAPI with proper authentication, error handling, and documentation

Hands-on experience with HTML/CSS and templating engines (Jinja2) for building lightweight web interfaces

Solid working knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) - schema design, queries, and optimization

Proficient in Linux environments - Shell Scripting (Bash), cron jobs, process management, and server administration

Experience building and deploying applications using Docker containers and Docker Compose

Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) and version control (Git)

Experience with Python libraries for automation - requests, paramiko, subprocess, schedule, pandas
