Job summary

MLM SEARCH in Glasgow is hiring a hands-on Python engineer to build production services that automate data governance at enterprise scale, including data lineage, data quality rules, critical data elements and business glossaries.

You'll design and implement Python services using FastAPI and Pydantic, expose clean APIs, and collaborate across tech, risk and business teams. AI assisted development is part of the toolkit; you’ll know when to trust the output.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering with Python services.
• Full lifecycle development: design, build, deploy and support.
• Confident API design and integration: REST, JSON, YAML, SQL.
• Solid modern engineering habits: Git, code reviews, automated tests, CI/CD.
