Cummins Mellor are seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their Blackburn finance team. This busy role concentrates on Purchase Ledger, processing a high volume of supplier invoices and ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

You’ll also handle reconciliations, month-end support, and assist with year-end and audits, while providing support across the wider finance function. Salary £30,000–£32,000; 22 days holiday, company pension, life insurance and a cashback healthcare plan.

Qualificações

• Purchase Ledger experience in transactional finance.
• Experience with supplier account management and reconciliations.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
• Able to manage workload and work to deadlines.
• Proactive with process improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices.
• Matching invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Managing supplier accounts and dealing with queries.
• Requesting and reconciling supplier statements.
• Supporting month end and keeping the Purchase Ledger accurate and up to date.
• Monitoring outstanding invoices and supporting GRNI.
• Assisting with BACS payment runs.
• Completing regular reconciliations and investigating differences.
• Supporting supplier queries and returns.
• Assisting with year end and audit requirements.
• Providing support across the wider finance team.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
• Ad hoc finance duties as required.
