Job summary

South London Legal Partnership is seeking an Expert Practitioner Lawyer in Procurement & Contracts. This centralised, shared-service role serves five SW London councils, with you employed by Merton but advising across all partner boroughs.

The role is non‑contentious and advisory, focusing on procurement law, contract drafting and governance, with autonomy and a strong work‑life balance offered in a public sector context.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx with public procurement experience.
• Minimum 3 years PQE in public procurement law.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert procurement and contracts advice to five councils.
• Draft/review public contracts, frameworks and concessions.
• Advise on governance, standing orders and subsidy controls.
• Collaborate with colleagues and share expertise.
