Job summary

Youth Futures Foundation is seeking a Senior Public Affairs Officer to join the External Affairs Team within the Policy and External Affairs Directorate. You will help coordinate public affairs activity, strengthening engagement with Parliament, government and influential stakeholders.

Reporting to the Public Affairs Manager, you will support senior-level engagement and help deliver opportunities across panels, roundtables and events, in a hybrid setup based at Birmingham, Leeds or London.

Job description

The Senior Public Affairs Officer will be a key member of the External Affairs Team within the wider Policy and External Affairs Directorate.

Joining the External Affairs Team, you will support and strengthen Youth Futures Foundation's engagement with Parliament, government and other influential stakeholders.

Reporting to the Public Affairs Manager, you will work closely with policy, communications and youth inclusion colleagues to coordinate public affairs activity, support senior-level engagement and help deliver important influencing opportunities, including:

• Barriers and discrimination in employment
• Place-based change
• Mental health and wellbeing
• Early intervention and transition
• Apprenticeships and vocational training
• Employment support programmes

Strong organisational, interpersonal and project management skills will be essential to support key influencing opportunities with stakeholders and partners, including panel events, roundtables, webinars and showcase programme visits.

This role is a 6 months Fixed Term Contract (FTC) and can be based at our Birmingham, Leeds or London hub. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.
