Job summary

A healthcare provider in Wolverhampton is seeking a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to provide clinical supervision and training within their established Talking Therapies service. The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate certificate in Low Intensity interventions and have experience in a similar role. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams are essential. This full-time position offers opportunities to innovate and improve psychological interventions for the local population.

Qualifications

  • Extensive post-qualification experience as a PWP delivering evidence-based step 2 interventions.
  • Documented evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance principles and their application.
  • Understanding of IAPT stepped care context.
  • Knowledge of IAPT key performance indicators and minimum data set requirements.
  • Experience in delivering training.
  • Experience in leadership.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to PWPs and Trainee PWPs in the IAPT team.
  • Offer training to promote uptake of CBT-based interventions.
  • Support staff in maintaining appropriate clinical records.
  • Participate in audits of clinical activity and evaluative research.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to liaise with other disciplines
Ability to use IT systems such as PCMIS/IAPTUS for recording data
Ability to respond and manage change
Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Education

Post graduate certificate in Low Intensity interventions
IAPT PWP clinical supervision training
Training in Long Term Conditions
