Job summary

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is seeking a Senior Risk Specialist in the Division of Supervision, Policy and Competition. You will conduct deep financial resilience assessments, support regulatory decisions with evidence, and collaborate with frontline supervisors across UK offices.

The role requires knowledge of prudential risk management, experience with FCA-regulated firms, and proven coaching of colleagues.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of prudential risk management and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience assessing risk and resilience in regulated financial institutions.
• Experience with FCA-regulated firms and their business models.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and support in-depth financial resilience assessments across a diverse portfolio of wholesale and retail firms, identifying vulnerabilities and safeguarding consumers, markets and financial stability.
• Deliver high-quality analysis and recommendations that support timely, evidence-based regulatory decisions.
• Evaluate and apply regulatory tools to help firms meet financial resilience standards.
• Coach and mentor Associate colleagues, sharing technical expertise and developing capability.
• Collaborate closely with front line supervisors, contributing to joined up regulatory outcomes and expanding your network.
