Qualifications

Job description

This post is classified as a flexible worker and requires 2 days office attendance a week, although during the probationary period to support learning and assisting the post holder to excel in the role office attendance may be up to 5 days per week. Enfield Legal Services are recruiting a Senior Prosecutions Lawyer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and ambitious professional to join a friendly, committed and highly regarded in‑house legal team to help deliver quality legal advice, as well as making a real contribution to the quality of life and sustainability of the borough. Specialising in Regulatory Prosecutions and prosecutions under the Housing Act 2004 and the Environmental Protection Act 1990, we are looking for an individual who is a real team player, self‑motivated and flexible. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years post‑qualification experience in the relevant area and will be used to carrying a heavy caseload, working with minimum supervision. You will have excellent communication skills and will be able to deal with people at all levels. You will have excellent drafting and negotiating skills and will have a strong understanding of the relevant area(s) of law. Local authority experience is desirable but not essential, provided you have good experience in the right areas of work. Litigator roles will require advocacy experience.
