We’re looking for a Senior Propositions Manager to lead our Propositions Team in Funeralcare. In this role, you’ll work in a fast‑paced environment to develop market‑leading propositions for our clients and members.

Why this role matters

At Co‑op Funeralcare, we help people at one of the most difficult times in their lives and offer support to those looking to plan for the future. In this role, you’ll design, develop and deliver propositions that are disruptive, distinctive, client‑focused, and set us apart from the competition. You’ll spot opportunities, bring new ideas to life, and help shape the future of our services. As the UK’s leading funeralcare provider, we’re constantly innovating – so there’s plenty to get involved in.

What you’ll do
  • Work closely with colleagues and leaders across the business to shape our proposition strategy and manage a clear roadmap of activity that supports our commercial objectives
  • Lead and develop a small team, fostering a culture that reflects our Co‑op Ways of being and values
  • Support the team in managing the end‑to‑end development and delivery of compelling client and member propositions, including creating benefits cases, managing governance documentation and channel delivery plans
  • Manage a portfolio of activity including tests and trial mobilisation, as well as full‑scale national launches across all sales channels
  • Own a market insight framework that keeps you up to date with emerging market trends, activity and opportunities
  • Work with our Insight team to manage research budgets, ensuring we prioritise and conduct the right client and colleague research and analysis to meet the team’s needs
  • Make sure all propositions, collateral and experiences comply with regulatory requirements
  • Own all proposition articulation and our “reasons to choose” as well as supporting the development of effective marketing campaigns and promotion of your propositions
  • Proactively monitor and review performance and partner with business leads to create appropriate action plans where needed
What you’ll bring
  • Experience managing the 360‑proposition life cycle
  • A track record of delivering successful propositions or commercial change initiatives in large, regulated organisations with operational, telephony and digital sales channels
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Strong leadership skills and experience developing teams
  • Great analytical skills and experience using data and market insights to inform decisions
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with experience building relationships with senior leaders across the business
  • Strong commercial acumen and marketing knowledge and capabilities
  • A valid UK driver’s licence
