Job summary

Salt Search is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Major Projects in London. The role involves leading complex construction and redevelopment programmes, delivering capital projects up to £35 million through the full project lifecycle.

You will manage programmes, budgets, governance and stakeholder engagement, with a strong emphasis on delivery in urban environments and public sector context.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering major construction, redevelopment, regeneration or capital projects.
• Experience across full project lifecycle: inception, design, planning consent, tender, construction and completion.
• Strong knowledge of contracts and project delivery frameworks.
• Experience managing architects, consultants, contractors and professional teams.
• Strong procurement and contract management experience.
• Experience managing substantial budgets, forecasts and financial resources.
• Public sector/public authority experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead major construction and redevelopment projects from inception through to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Develop and maintain project plans, programmes, budgets, risk registers and governance documentation.
• Manage contracts, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Coordinate feasibility, design, planning, procurement, tendering, construction and handover activities.
• Monitor expenditure, forecasts, funding and cost controls.
• Identify and secure internal and external project funding.
• Prepare business cases, funding applications, papers and progress reports.
• Oversee procurement and contract management of complex, high-value works and professional services.
• Identify risks and issues, implementing corrective action where required.
• Provide clear project reports and briefings to boards and officers.
• Lead consultation and engagement with residents and stakeholders.
