Job summary

Turner & Townsend is recruiting a Project Planner to support our Project Controls team on high-profile construction projects across the UK and Europe. You will work to identify deviations, drive best value, and manage time, cost and quality targets in collaboration with clients and contractors.

The role involves leading planning sessions, applying governance controls, and producing formal reports. Strong experience in project controls and proficiency with Primavera/MS Project are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, Project Controls or PMO.
• Applicants will ideally be degree educated, with previous industry and sector experience essential.
• Previous experience with Primavera, MS Project, Excel or PRISM is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and adherence to governance processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify trends and root causes of deviations against baseline; suggest remedial actions.
• Lead evaluation of project time, cost and quality targets with governance controls.
• Coordinate with a remote cost-management team to ensure value for money.
• Guide contractors to align progress with schedule and cash flow parameters.
• Act as client contact, producing formal and ad hoc time, cost and quality reports.
• Create cost reports and executive dashboards; oversee change management processes.
• Lead planning sessions with clients and vendors to agree baselines and critical path.
